to order LE/MIL Gas Controls
Custom configured Gas Controls are available for Unit or Agency purchase with minimum order. Choose the settings, markings, and adjustment range according to your issued carbines. Standard Gas Controls offered to all customers include 12 numbered settings per rotation. This provides a universal solution to accommodate all types of firearms and ammunition. Your unit or agency can choose exactly the configuration you need to work with your firearms and issued ammunition and select the markings desired based on your requirements. We will work with you to determine the correct settings. Once the correct settings for your needs are determined we will create custom-configured Gas Controls for you.
Examples include Control Knobs marked with the following settings:
S1 (Suppressed #1)
S2 (Suppressed #2)
U1 (Unsuppressed #1)
U2 (Unsuppressed #2)
EX (Extreme or Exigent)
Another Example:
S1 (Suppressed #1)
S2 (Suppressed #2)
OF (Off)
US Patents #US20200116446A1, #US10724812B2, plus additional patents pending

Q:
I HAVE A M&P 10 308/7.62 X 51 WITH A 17 INCH TUG PRO # MTU038SSMC HANDGUARD USING THE ORIG. 18 INCH BARREL W/.750 GAS BLOCK DIA. DO YOU MAKE A GAS SETTING KNOB LONG ENOUGH TO REACH THE END OF THE HANDGUARD? i THINK IT WOULD HAVE TO BE ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP REGARDS, JEFF,
Asked by:
Jeff Bushrow
- 5/3/2022
A:
Jeff, if your 18" barrel uses a rifle-length gas system then you'll be able to run an RS7533 with a 15" handguard or an RS7543 with a 16" handguard. The 17" handguard is too long and would cover the entire barrel. Thank for your interest in Riflespeed.

Q:
Having one of your system where there is one or two setting each for suppressed and unsuppressed as well as an off would be nice like in your example LE/MIL offering. I assume a person could achieve the same without the custom markings by memorizing the number each "mode" is achieved at, but the one thing I am not certain of, is does setting "1" equal off? I really would love to be able to change it from the known suppressed/unspressed settings and quickly shut off the gas and back again. Is that achievable with your system? Thank you, Jason
Asked by:
Jason van Zomeren
- 2/24/2022
A:
Jason, the Gas Controls are fully modular. You can select a longer or shorter Plunger to get exactly the level of restriction you want. Setting a Gas Control up so the bolt does not unlock when lower settings are used is very popular. We have an article that covers Plunger selection and performance in the RifleBlog section of the website. Check that out and let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks for your interest in Riflespeed.

Q:
Just a few quick questions. Is there a future projection as to when the LE/Mil systems will be back in stock? Can I purchase a LE/Mil system for my personal rife I use on duty? Is there a significant difference between the civilian / LE-Mil model other than the suppression designation? Thanks for your time!
Asked by:
Matthew Solari
- 1/28/2022
A:
Matthew, these are not stocked items, but are made upon working with a unit/agency to determine the correct configuration for issued gun/ammo/suppressor. The only difference is the custom markings and the configuration process we go through with the customer. If your department would like to pursue this we'll be glad to work with you. Email us through the contact page or support@

Q:
When will these be back in stock
Asked by:
Paul
- 12/27/2021
A:
LE/Mil Gas Controls are not a stock item. These are available by order from a department or unit with a minimum quantity required and are marked after a validation process using the arms and ammunition issued to the unit members. Our Standard Gas Controls are all in stock for immediate shipment. Thanks for your interest in Riflespeed.
